The Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHMLAC) is one of the largest natural and cultural history museums in the Western United States, housing over 35 million specimens and artifacts. Its mission is to inspire wonder, discovery, and responsibility for our natural and cultural worlds. NHMLAC includes the Natural History Museum in Exposition Park and the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum.
