Renée grew up in Southern California listening to a variety of music that was popular in the 60’s and the 70’s. The family stereo played Motown, Classic Rock, Beatles and Ray Charles. Renée’s own influences include Pop, New Wave, RnB, Jazz and Hippie-Vibe music. This mix of sounds inspires and creates Renée’s smooth and soulful delivery. She can also rock when the time is right. South Florida became Renée’s home for many years. There she formed a blues band with an accomplished saxophonist, a highly trained bass player, and an Island drummer. She gained experience performing in festivals, clubs, and private events. In addition to fronting Equinox (EquinoxRox on YouTube), Renée performed as part of a duo with her sax playing partner. Upon returning to Southern California, Renée began performing as a soloist, featuring heartfelt vocals and her treasured 12-string guitar. She welcomes the opportunity for other musicians to sit in. Renée’s solo repertoire includes ballads and soft rock, perfect for a restaurant, brunch, coffee house, wedding or other private event; she picks up the tempo at bars and breweries. Renée can always be counted on to accommodate the mood of the room, whether performing solo, or as part of a band.
