Details:
Join us for "Wellness by the Boat: Tai Chi" on June 13, 2026, at 10 am, held at the scenic Cliffs Great Lakes Maritime Park beside the historic Col. James M. Schoonmaker Museum Ship along the Maumee River. This free, 45-minute Tai Chi class is presented by UToledo Health/Trauma Services and Dr. Mary R. Smith, featuring certified instructor Corey Anderson, RN, BSN. Participants will enjoy gentle, flowing movements that build strength, improve balance, and reduce stress, making it accessible for all fitness levels. The session begins with an eight-minute warm-up followed by Dr. Paul Lam’s evidence-based Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention routine.
Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a water bottle and a yoga mat (limited mats available), and arrive a few minutes early. In case of inclement weather, the event may move indoors, or future classes can be registered for, as they are offered twice a month from May to September. Registration is required and can be made at [Event Registration Link].
Don't miss this opportunity to stretch, breathe, and find your balance by the boat! For more information, visit nmgl.org/events and learn about UToledo Health's commitment to providing high-quality healthcare in the region.
