The Fairhope Public Library serves as a guide to worldwide information, a center for learning activities, and a source for leisure materials. Its mission is to provide equal access to information for the Fairhope community, sustaining and energizing the intellectual, cultural, educational, and recreational life of the community. The library serves all ages, encourages a love of reading and the pursuit of knowledge, and champions democracy by fostering the free exchange of ideas. Services include computer and printing access, curbside service, meeting rooms, notary services, and a digital library card. The library also offers resources for family history research and provides services for the blind and physically disabled. The Friends of the Fairhope Public Library organization provides financial and volunteer support, underwriting various programs and donating funds for unbudgeted books and equipment.
