The Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium, established in 2009 by enthusiastic entomologists, aims to inspire curiosity about arthropods. After a fruitful feasibility analysis, we became a 501(c)3 in 2011. Our journey includes engaging the community through live insect presentations, educational programs, and strategic planning. On June 25, 2015, we launched the Missoula Insectarium, welcoming over 60,000 visitors. With our new facility debuting on December 5, 2023, featuring Montana's first tropical butterfly house, we embark on an exciting chapter of enhanced education and community impact.
