Class Experience
Join the Watershed Education Network as a Backyard Citizen Scientist! Kids will head into our local watersheds from the ZACC to collect bugs in the river and so much more. We will count aquatic insects, measure stream flow, and do everything the WEN does to collect data on our local watershed.

They will follow their science with art activities based on what they've learned: nature journaling, making cyanotype prints and creating dream boats from found objects.

Combine science and art in this new STEAM-inspired summer camp unique to Missoula!

The WEN is a Missoula non-profit that collects and houses data on the health and status of local waterways, and has been running educational programming for kids and adults throughout their 20 year existence.

At the ZACC, we believe something truly special happens when students of different ages create together. In our experience, kids often thrive in mixed-age settings—where younger students look up to older peers, and older kids step into natural mentorship roles. With small class sizes and dedicated ZACC instructors, each class is tailored to the unique group of students enrolled. Whether your child is just starting out or already a creative teen or tween, we’re committed to providing a safe, inspiring environment for all students to grow and explore their creativity.
