Details:
Enter the world of the Yoginīs through contemplative practice, non-dual philosophy, and embodied transformation.
Across the Tantric traditions of India and Tibet, the Yoginīs represent fierce wisdom, radical freedom, embodied awakening, and the transformative power of consciousness itself. Often associated with liminality, transformation, and the reclamation of embodied experience, these traditions invite us to encounter the sacred not outside ourselves, but through the fullness of lived experience.
Blending scholarship with direct experience, this session offers an accessible introduction to the transformative currents of the Śākta-Śaiva traditions. The evening is designed to be welcoming across backgrounds, identities, and levels of experience — no prior study of Tantra or yoga philosophy is required.
In this experiential 90-minute immersion, participants will explore the following.
What to Expect:
the symbolic and spiritual meaning of the Yoginīs
how emotion, desire, and embodiment become pathways of awakening
the relationship between fierce compassion and transformation
contemplative practices for integrating these teachings into modern life
non-dual and Tantric perspectives that challenge rigid binaries and invite deeper intimacy with self and world
Please bring:
A water bottle
Journaling material, if desired
