July 25 – Moths!
Program Description: It’s National Moth Week and we’re celebrating another favorite nocturnal pollinator. Tots will learn the difference between butterflies and moths, what flowers moths enjoy best and explore species native to the RGV.
Tots will:
· Begin with Welcoming Song and a Tree Trunk Story
· Participate in Moth v. Butterfly Investigation
· Engage in 'Where Might a Moth Be?, Trail Walk
· Practice making observations and comparisons between moths and butterflies

ABOUT Forest Tots:
Children ages 3-5 are invited to explore the season of the Lower Rio Grande Valley through nature inspired and Outdoor Learning Environment (OLE!) driven curriculum, with something new to explore each day!
Through story, sensory play, forest walks, and nature art, we are excited to connect and learn with the ecologies around us!
