On Thursday, July 17 at 6:00 pm, The Local Irish Pub – Minneapolis invites you to an evening that blends bold flavors, a bit of magic and plenty of whiskey.
At the center of it all is Kieran Folliard, a true Irishman and the Twin Cities’ unofficial ambassador of Irish hospitality. You may know him as the founder of Kieran’s—or as the name behind 2 Gingers and Red Locks Irish Whiskey. Either way, he brings a storyteller’s charm, a distiller’s insight, and the warmth of someone who’s always glad you showed up.
Joining him is David McNicoll, whiskey expert, entertainer, and yes, a proud Scotsman (we like a bit of rivalry with our whiskey, so we won’t hold that against him).
Together, they’ll guide a full whiskey tasting—four pours and four courses, each introduced through a cocktail along with stories, flavor notes, and the kind of banter you can only get from two friends on opposite sides of the Irish Sea.
Each pour is paired with a course that’s built around the same whiskey, creating a dinner that’s layered, rich, and deeply satisfying. Think smoked salmon salad kissed with a zesty vinaigrette. Grilled tenderloin with a bold, spiced finish. And cocktails that walk the line between classic and unexpected—like our take on the Whiskey Sour or the ever-popular Ginger Locks.
All of it takes place in the warm, wood-carved glow of The Local Minneapolis—where the lighting flatters, the chairs invite you to stay a while, and the craic flows as easily as the whiskey.
Tickets are $135 per guest. All inclusive of the four courses, four beverages, tax, and tip. Seating is limited. Come raise a glass with us.
