Bring a book that you have read that fits into our monthly theme. Come for recommendations, reviews and rapport. We meet in person at the Joyce Ellington Library. Please join us for an afternoon of literary discussion! All are welcome! Upcoming Book Themes: January 28: New Year, New You!: Kick off the new year with a book to inspire or motivate you. Discover a new hobby, dive into a self-help book, or explore health and fitness. February 25 : Romance: Fall in love with a classic romance novel or discover a new romantasy author. March 25: Spring Cleaning! Clean out your bookshelf and read a book you have been meaning to read but haven't yet or rediscover a book you may have forgotten about. April 29: Comedy! Find a book that is funny, witty, or clever with themes such as dark humor, satire, or comedic relief May 20: Movie Adaptation May! Read a book that has been adapted into a movie, pick an old favorite, or a book with a movie coming to theatres soon. June 24: Pride Month. Focus on diverse LGBTQIA+ experiences through contemporary fiction, queer classics, or genre-bending stories. July 22: Graphic Novel Month. Read a manga, graphic novel or comic book. Try a new genre or read a graphic novel that illustrates an old classic. August 26 : Beach Reads. Embrace summer reading with a book you would read on the beach or by the pool. September 30: Sci-Fi September. Transition to the “spooky season” with sci-fi reads including apocalyptic, cyberpunk, dystopian, time travel, and more. October 28: Horror/Gothic literature. Explore the dark side of literature with a contemporary, supernatural or gothic tale. November 18: Non-fiction November. Dive into nonfiction and select a true story, memoir or educational text.
