Mobile Art in the Garden

Join the Cedars Mobile Art Division and the City of San Rafael’s Recreation Division for creative time in the Lonatese garden at the San Rafael Community Center! The Mobile Art Division extends the mission of Cedars of Marin — to foster independence, defend dignity, and realize each person's full potential — beyond the walls of their established studios and into the broader community.  

The goal of the Mobile Art Division is to bring the joy, creativity, and talent of Cedars artists into the world. By traveling to various community venues across Marin County, Cedars artists share their work and their spirit with neighbors, institutions, and the wider public — building connections, shifting perceptions, and demonstrating what is possible when people with developmental disabilities are given the space and support to thrive creatively.  

Bring your imagination and relax with a small group art activity in the San Rafael Community Center garden. Classes are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month from 10:00am-11:30am beginning April 16th.  

All ages and all abilities welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Materials provided by Cedars. Classes are free of charge. ADA accessible.
