Details:
Every Saturday (inside the Community Center from December-March and in the parking lot under the solar array during the rest of the months), the Donation Station has a booth at the Athens Farmers Market to collect food and monetary donations from customers, vendors, and local community gardeners. Monetary donations are used in turn to purchase fresh foods from the market vendors, supporting the local economy. Vendors also have the opportunity to donate unsold produce at the end of market. Responsibilities include weighing/logging donations, engaging with community members, packing produce, and purchasing produce. Come prepared to have fun outside at one of Athens' best weekly events!
