Water Bath Canning Class

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a water bath canning class on June 19 in Longview. The cost of the class is $25, which includes all supplies and ingredients. Registration is available by calling the AgriLife Extension office in Gregg County at 903-236-8429. Deadline to register is June 15. Participants will learn food safety best practices and the technical basics of water bath canning while making jelly and pickles during the class. Participants will be able to take home the items they make during the class. The class will also include a review of Texas Cottage Food Laws for those interested in promoting and selling their own home kitchen produced foods.
