Texas 4-H My Preparedness Initiative Camp

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host the Texas 4-H My Preparedness Initiative Camp, for youths ages 13-19, in Brownwood. The cost of the camp is $600 which includes lodging, meals and CPR/AED/First Aid certifications. The camp is an award-winning national program designed to build resilience in youth and strengthen communities through education and real-world training. Participants will complete Community Emergency Response Team , CERT, training, gaining knowledge in disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations and search and rescue. Campers will also have access to electives and specialized certifications including CPR, AED and first aid certifications as well as a technology track featuring NOAA weather radios, HAM radios and emergency communication tools.
