Milk and dairy products are New York State’s top agricultural commodity! Want to learn more about where milk comes from and meet the cows that make it? Orange County 4-H is hosting a 5-week Dairy Explorer’s program at local dairy farms!
Participants will visit local dairy farms, meet the cows, and gain real-world experience in animal care. Along the way, they’ll enjoy fun crafts and activities and even have the opportunity to showcase a calf at the Orange County Fair during the program’s final week.
Program Schedule:
Tuesdays, June 16 – July 14
5:30–6:30 PM
Plus a special Show Day on Sunday, July 26
Locations:
Weeks 1–2: Stap Dairy (Pine Bush, NY)
Weeks 3–5: Spruce Gate Holsteins (Walden, NY)
Final Week: 4-H Farm & Family Fair (Otisville, NY)
