In 2019, Shelley Brookins encountered a homebound married couple with intellectual disabilities who longed for community engagement. Struggling with anxiety and depression due to their inability to afford a state-supported day habilitation program, Shelley researched available options, only to discover many individuals faced 15+ year waiting lists. Inspired by divine guidance, she envisioned the Bee-Happy Day Program and devised a prayer strategy involving supporters nationwide. Their heartfelt petitions have since affirmed God's commitment to meeting the needs of those seeking such programs.
