The Medina County Beekeepers Association (MCBA), founded in 1951 and based in Medina, Ohio, is an organization dedicated to promoting beekeeping and fostering a deeper understanding of honey bees and other pollinators. With over 200 members, including both professional and backyard beekeepers from Northeast Ohio, MCBA serves as a hub for knowledge sharing. The association offers a platform for experienced beekeepers to share their expertise and provides resources and guidance for new beekeepers to ensure their success. Their mission includes educating members on best practices and techniques in apiary management, addressing the challenges faced by pollinators, and offering beginner classes and mentorship programs. MCBA also engages in community outreach, such as partnering with the Medina County Park District for a community bee garden and contributing honey to local food banks.
