Spirit of America Boating Education Course

Summer Enrichment in Medina County Ohio!

Spirit of America is a national youth boating education program that offers middle school-aged students a unique, safe, and comprehensive water-based educational and recreational program.

Based on the concept of learning by doing, students develop self-esteem, practice teamwork, safe seamanship, boating, and water safety, and demonstrate responsibility.

• Students will have the opportunity to obtain their Ohio Boating Education Certificate (OBEC) and learn to operate sailboats, powerboats, PWCs, canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards (SUPs)

July 13-19*, 2026 (See details below)

*July 19 will be used as a rain make-up date only and may not be needed.

Age Range:

12-15 years old

Cost:

$100 per student. Includes all course materials and a life jacket. Students will need closed-toed water shoes.
