Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society

At the Philadelphia Skating Club and Humane Society, America’s first skating club, our mission is to preserve and promote the sport, art and history of figure skating for recreation and competition. People come to the PSCHS to skate and they stay because of our excellent coaches and staff, fantastic and plentiful ice, friendly atmosphere, and convenient location in a club-owned, year round facility in Philadelphia’s Main Line suburb of Ardmore just 20 minutes from Philadelphia. Our welcoming environment, comprehensive on- and off-ice skating programs and fun social events promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, health and fitness for children and adults at all skill levels. Our rink is unique because it is truly geared for figure skating with high quality ice, abundant natural light, a wall of mirrors, no boards and no hockey teams. Come and skate with us, watch your favorite skaters from our warm lounges, or check out our fully stocked skate shop and skate sharpening services. PSCHS has something for everyone, old or young, experienced or beginner. Unlike a regular club, our rink is owned by our members and many of our activities are solely dedicated to their enjoyment and advancement.
