A modern jazz ensemble of all-stars take the stage for a one-night-only performance.
Tennishu is a Richmond-based saxophonist whose expressive tone and genre-fluid approach bridge jazz tradition with modern soul and rhythmic innovation. Since joining Butcher Brown in 2017, he has brought a distinctive voice to stages nationally and internationally, shaping the band’s forward-thinking sound with melodic clarity and improvisational depth. His solo work, including More To The Story and More Of The Story, highlights his ability to make the saxophone both narrator and centerpiece — blending intimacy, power, and storytelling into every performance.
The quartet includes Tennishu (saxophone and trumpet); Garen Dorsey (piano); Andrew Randazzo (bass); and Kofi Shepsu (drums).
