Learn and Play Mahjong

Play Mahjong at Cherrydale Library Mahjong, meaning sparrow in Chinese, is a game of strategy, skill, and a bit of luck. Originating in China, it spread internationally, evolving into different regional styles. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, join us for a game of 16-tile, Chinese mahjong. New to the game? Beginners are welcome! Our experienced volunteer will introduce the tiles and their suits, and the basics of a winning hand. For library patrons 14+.
