The City of Arcata Recreation Division is celebrating the major ballpark renovations with free movie nights in the ballpark this Fall. Mark your calendars for Friday Night Flicks at the Arcata Ballpark. Admission is free for this family-friendly event. Gates open at 7p.m. and movies begin after sunset once it is dark enough to show the movie on the projector screen. (Start times will vary) On Friday September 12 we will show the Disney Movie "Moana." (2016) Concessions will be available, and donations are accepted. Profits from the concessions will go towards a local charity organization, while the entrance donations will go towards the Ballpark Improvement Fund. Moviegoers are welcome to bring blankets and/or lawn chairs to be used in the grass of the ballpark. Food and drinks may be brought into the park for these events with the following exceptions: No alcoholic beverages, no glass, no smoking, and no dogs.
