Details:
In July, Sunshine Community Health Center is launching the "Try Not to Die in July" initiative, encouraging community members to take proactive steps in managing their healthcare wishes by completing an Advance Directive. This legal document ensures your healthcare preferences are known and that a trusted individual can make decisions on your behalf if you are unable to. To support this important effort, participants will receive an emergency vehicle hammer while supplies last. The campaign aims to raise awareness about safety during the busy and potentially risky summer months in Alaska, with a focus on practical prevention tips and activities throughout the month. Community members are invited to stop by either the Talkeetna Clinic or Willow Clinic to learn more, obtain an Advance Directive form, or get assistance from Patient Advocates. Stay tuned for additional safety education and related events designed to empower individuals and families to make informed choices and promote community safety.
