Details:
Balsam Range, a celebrated bluegrass band nearing 20 years together, is gearing up for an exciting 2026 as they prepare to release new music and tour across the country. Featuring members Caleb Smith (guitar, vocals), Tim Surrett (bass, dobro, vocals), Alan Bibey (mandolin, vocals), and Marc Pruett (banjo), the group will also welcome Stephen Hudson on fiddle and vocals, bringing fresh energy while honoring the traditional “high lonesome sound.”
Formed in 2007 during a casual kitchen jam in Western North Carolina, Balsam Range has become one of bluegrass's most decorated acts, with numerous International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards, including multiple Entertainer and Album of the Year honors. They have released 14 albums and achieved numerous No. 1 singles on the bluegrass charts. Despite their accolades, the group's priority remains connecting with audiences through the timeless experience of live music. This upcoming performance is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee. Learn more at balsamrange.com.
