Join Alison Watson of Serenity Valley Wellness for this weekly one-hour Gentle Yoga practice, ending in a brief guided meditation at A Centered Space in Gilbertsville, KY, every Tuesday 4:30-5:30pm.
Props will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. Props used may include mat, yoga blocks, bolsters, blankets, yoga strap, etc.
This Gentle Yoga practice is suitable for almost everyone, including those who are new to yoga and those who have not exercised in some time. This class includes low impact stretching and strengthening in gentle and thoughtful ways. Care is taken to explain each posture, as well as the purpose/benefit of the movement.
In addition to those who are seeking gentle movement, strengthening, stretching, reduced joint and muscle discomfort, as well as improved mobility, this class is wonderful for those who seek a calmer nervous system, to find peace in a chaotic/busy life, and for those who wish to slow racing thoughts. The entire class is taught with ease and peace in mind, as well as a few moments of guided meditation at the end. Brief, easy breath work may also be included, as well as encouraging class themes like self-love, gratitude, and kindness.
