Albertville Head Start Early Learning Center, operated by Community Action Partnership of North Alabama (CAPNA), provides comprehensive early childhood education and support services for children from birth to age five, as well as for pregnant women. The program aims to promote school readiness and overall child development through educational, nutritional, health, and socialization opportunities. Services are offered at no cost to eligible low-income, homeless, and military families, and children with disabilities. The center is licensed by the state, and its teachers hold degrees in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Early Head Start specifically serves infants, toddlers, and pregnant women, focusing on nurturing healthy attachments and development through the child's third birthday. The Head Start Preschool program supports children aged 3-5 with a socially stimulating, hands-on learning environment designed to encourage exploration and engagement. CAPNA is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing poverty and its consequences in North Alabama, operating over 100 classrooms across 12 counties.
