Details:
He's been playing country music for fifty years. Then he went to Capitol Records in Hollywood, picked up Clarence White's Telecaster, and made twenty instrumentals. No vocals. No precedent. Just Marty Stuart and The Fabulous Superlatives doing something they had never done before.
Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives perform Sunday, October 4, 2026 at The Center for the Arts. Doors at 6:00 PM, showtime at 7:00 PM.
The new album, Space Junk, was recorded at the legendary Capitol Recording Studios — the same room where The Beach Boys, Ray Charles, and Buck Owens made their records. The cover art is a painting by Herb Alpert, who personally consented to its use. Stuart played Clarence White's actual Fender Telecaster on the track "California Part 1 (Bobbie Gentry Please Call Home)."
This is not a nostalgia show. This is a five-time GRAMMY winner and Country Music Hall of Famer in the middle of something genuinely new. In a 500-seat room.
