Details:
Join calligrapher Debby Reelitz for "Calligraphy that Inspired a Nation," a hands-on 90-minute workshop exploring the art of handwriting during the American Revolution. Discover who created the Declaration of Independence and the tools and lettering styles they used. Participants will set up their own writing desk, practice with a dip nib and ink, and scribe a line from the Declaration. By the end of the session, you’ll create your own signature inspired by colonial-era styles. This workshop is suitable for ages 13 and up, taking place on Tuesday, June 30 at 6:30 PM at the Mattapoisett Free Public Library. Registration is required to secure your spot.
