America 250 - MN 250

July 4, 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence signing + founding of the United States of America.
Explore 250 years of the people that helped make Minnesota what it is today through an exhibit + interactive activities. From Indigenous history to recent immigrant groups that now call Minnesota home, come explore what makes Minnesota great. Reenactors will be onsite to answer your questions on the American Revolution, the history of the fur trade, and women’s suffrage.
Activities include learning about the history of the American flag, Revolution-era clothing + even signing your own name to the Declaration of Independence. Finishing the weekend on July 5th, two fashion shows will honor our local Minnesotans and their clothing and dress customs throughout the last 250 years.
