Family Fun in the Park Block Party

Join us for the second annual Family Fun in the Park Block Party hosted by Dare County Parks & Recreation on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mustian Street and Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills. This free community event invites residents, visitors, and property owners to enjoy a variety of activities, including a cookout, water slide, games, scavenger hunts, and displays of work vehicles. Parking is available at First Flight Elementary School (107 Veterans Drive), as the Family Recreation Park parking lot will be reserved for emergency services and pedestrian access. The festivities kick off at the Veterans Drive entrance to Family Recreation Park, where participants can collect a map to explore the event and enter to win prizes by visiting various stops.
