Rise in the Pines 2026

Rise in the Pines is a big trail running event happening July 18, 2026 at Rocky Hill Ranch in Smithville, Texas. It’s built around a 10K loop through shaded pine forest with some rolling single-track sections, giving runners a scenic but challenging course. The event offers a wide range of distances from a single 10K loop up to an ultra-endurance 200 kilometer race, as well as 100-mile and 100-kilometer options, and even relay entries.
Race day starts early, with the longest distances beginning at 6:00 a.m., followed by shorter races throughout the morning. Aid stations are set up on the course and at the start/finish to keep runners fueled with drinks, snacks, and hearty trail fare. The race has a 36-hour cutoff, and runners must finish the distance they start to earn their finisher award.
Spectators can enjoy the atmosphere at the start/finish area, watch runners come through the loop, and take in the wooded Texas trail scenery. The event also includes packet pickup the day before and offers on-site parking, camping and RV options nearby.
