Understanding Wildfires Woolly's Adventure Summit is teaming up with local non-profit Sierra STEM for a summer series of free, drop-in science pop-ups. This fourth and final session is one that hits close to home for anyone who loves the Eastern Sierra. Kids grades K–4 will use a matchstick forest model to explore how terrain and forest density affect wildfire behavior, recording data on duration and intensity as fires spread under different conditions. Sessions run every 30 minutes from 12:00 PM–3:00 PM and are free with Woolly's Adventure Summit admission. Space is limited to 16 kids per session. First come, first served.
