Details:
Join us for Community Threads @ NESTL, a monthly mending and sewing circle where you can chat, craft, and connect with your community. Bring your textile projects, whether it’s hole-filled socks or a long-overdue alteration, or use our sewing supplies, including machines, fabric, and thread. While there won’t be a formal class setup, experienced menders will be on hand to offer advice in this collaborative environment. Enjoy hot tea as you work on any type of textile craft—though we will primarily provide sewing supplies.
We meet on the second weekend of each month: the second Saturday at the Shoreline Tool Library and the second Sunday at the NE Seattle Tool Library. Please note that as we grow, the schedule may change, so stay updated via social media.
Accessibility: The NE Seattle Tool Library is mostly wheelchair accessible, featuring ramps at entrances, though the all-gender restroom is small and not ADA compliant. Attendees are welcome to bring their own interpreters.
Getting there: Accessible by King County Metro bus routes, with bike storage available. Parking is limited to gravel and asphalt lots, with no dedicated ADA spots. We look forward to crafting and mending together!
