The Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is the longest-running citizen science effort in the world, hosted annually by the National Audubon Society. From dawn to dusk, participants count every bird they see or hear within a designated area.
It’s fun, meaningful, and there’s always the chance to spot something rare! Data collected helps scientists track bird populations and guide conservation efforts.
Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just getting started, all skill levels are welcome.
