The Sanger Library, a vital part of the Fresno County Public Library system, began in 1910 as a "free reading room" within a local Episcopal church. It quickly integrated into the County Library system, fostering a love for literature. Renowned children's author Doris Gates served as its branch librarian, contributing to its rich legacy. In 1967, the library relocated to its present site, now encompassing 8,994 sq. ft., and continues to be a cherished community resource for knowledge and exploration.
