4-Week Beginner Wheel Throwing

Join our comprehensive pottery program featuring two distinct courses: **4-Week Beginner Wheel Throwing** and **8-Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing**.

The **4-Week Beginner Wheel Throwing** course, running from July 7 to July 28, offers a hands-on, personalized experience designed for individuals with little to no wheel throwing experience, in a supportive small-group setting with a maximum of 2 participants. Each week covers essential skills, beginning with an introduction to clay and throwing techniques, followed by trimming and surface decoration, further practice on the wheel, and concluding with the final trimming and glazing basics. All materials and firings are included, offering students the chance to create and refine multiple pieces over the month.

For those ready to advance their skills, the **8-Week Intermediate Wheel Throwing** course starts July 5 and is tailored for students already comfortable with basic wheel techniques. This class focuses on creating functional pottery forms such as mugs, plates, and vases, while refining techniques and building confidence. The structured curriculum includes hands-on projects that emphasize handle attachment, trimming, and creating larger forms. A glazing session is also included in the course fee. Prerequisite for this intermediate course is completion of the Beginner Wheel Throwing or equivalent experience.
