The Storyteller Trio Chapter 1

The Storyteller Trio is a brand new project that includes Alex Gross on bass, Brad Cox on drums, and Matthew Billings on Piano. This project may be new but the members have been around the music scene in Lynchburg/Roanoke playing with various bands and artists for a long time. These musicians coming together to create this original project has been a long time coming and the music will reflect the years of experience shared among its members. The music these three have created is a modern and fresh take on the state of jazz fusion with its deep grooves, improvised solos, and catchy melodies. Chapter 1 is their first EP and the first section of a record that they have been working on to be released in 3 parts. This show at the Music Hall is not only the first live performance of the Chapter 1 EP but it will be the first live show this group has played as The Storyteller Trio.
