What happens when you slow down long enough to actually see what's around you? Jen Seibert will share how a study grant and a commitment to painting everyday suburban spaces led her to build a creative life grounded in paying attention. From co-founding a gallery to teaching painting for 25 years, she'll talk honestly about the challenges of sustaining a creative practice and what she's found in the moments most of us rush past.
Jen Seibert is a Professor of Art at Collin College, co-founder of Chloe Mae Studios gallery in Allen, Texas, and an alla prima oil painter whose work investigates slowness, attention, and the overlooked beauty of everyday suburban spaces.
Lunch Bunch Speaker Series is an informal conversation around topics of interest to members and nonmembers. Lunch is not provided, but you are welcome to bring your own. All are welcome. The event is free
