Details:
Born in Lowell, Charlie Chronopoulos was a veteran musician at 16 years old. Performing in the north-east lounge scene, he'd already opened for iconic acts like the Doobie Brothers, Grand Funk Railroad, Cheap Trick, and Johnny Winter with his father's southern rock band.
His playing caught the ear of grammy winning artist Serj Tankian of 'System of a Down' and Charlie signed on as the lead guitarist for Serj's rock opera 'Prometheus Bound' - directed by Tony Winner Diane Paulus at the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University. After working on several Off-Broadway productions, he felt compelled to tell his own story.
He retreated to rural New Hampshire and set up a recording studio in an old mill along a waterfall where, for almost a decade, he has been developing his sound as a gritty, hard worn Americana. His work as a producer is in high demand, but his writing is what continues to build notoriety for its sincerity, and war humor that cuts clean down to the bone.
