📚 Right to Read Night 📚
Books change lives. They open doors, spark conversations, and give every voice a chance to be heard. But across the country, more books are being banned and challenged than ever before—especially those written by and about people of color and the LGBTQ+ community.
Local organization Igniting Connection is hosting a gathering for Right to Read Night at The Bookmatters on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6:00–7:30 PM. Together, we’ll explore the powerful story Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson, and celebrate the freedom to read.

Due to space, seats are limited to 30—and they’ll go fast! The book will be available for local pick-up and can be ordered through The Bookmatters starting 08/26/25.
