Details:
Program is for Grades 3-8 (Ages 8-14)
Step back into the time of the American Revolution and discover how portraits helped tell the stories of important people from early American history. In this hands-on art class, participants will explore famous Revolutionary-era figures, symbols, and styles while learning about life in colonial America. Participants will design and create their own portrait-inspired artwork, then transform their creations into wearable buttons using a button maker. Whether featuring historical heroes, self-portraits in colonial style, or imaginative Revolutionary characters, each student will leave with unique handmade buttons and a deeper connection to history through art.
Perfect for elementary and middle school students, this program combines creativity, history, and fun in an engaging workshop experience.
Supplies will be provided. Registration is recommended, let us know you're coming here: nafclibrary.libcal.com/event/16582797
