Details:
Join us on July 25 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center for a creative workshop where participants can make their own homemade felt and vinyl magnets. Under the guidance of CAC Museum Educator Al Gorman, attendees will have access to felt, vinyl magnetic sheets, scissors, and markers to craft unique fridge decorations. Additionally, the center is hosting a presentation titled "Rediscovering Epaphras Jones" by local historian and pastor Nathan Allen. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, Allen will share the captivating story of Epaphras Jones, a young patriot and entrepreneur from New Albany's early days, as well as the story of his brother Richard, an extraordinary figure in the Revolutionary War. This presentation highlights the challenges and opportunities of early American life and is free to the public, though registration is recommended. Don’t miss this opportunity for creativity and historical insight at the Cultural Arts Center!
