Embark Center for Self-Directed Education

Embark Center is a self-directed, democratically run microschool for ages 10–18 in historic downtown Leesburg, Virginia. Embark Center specializes in the mastery of transferable skills, including executive functioning, emotional intelligence, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, skills essential for success in college, the workplace, and adult life. Students shape their learning through meaningful projects, real-world experiences, and mentorship in a small, relationship-centered community. Academic learning is available and supported when it aligns with a student’s goals and interests. Monday–Thursday | 9:00 AM–3:30 PM Part-time and full-time enrollment available
