Paint Night Out: “The Blue Horse” by Franz Marc with Mickey and Laura

Express yourself in the style of Franz Marc. You’ll explore form, symbolism, and spiritual energy when you paint your own version of Franz Marc’s iconic “Blue Horse.” This class is about loosening up, embracing bold color theory, and discovering how powerful simplified shapes and emotional hues can be.
Santa Fe artists Laura Tarnoff and Mickey Bond will guide you step-by-step through building dramatic contrast, blending rich primary tones, and layering paint. You’ll learn how to exaggerate muscular curves, highlight light against deep shadows, and work to capture the harmony between nature and spirit.
No experience needed. All materials are provided, along with wine and light snacks. You’re also welcome to bring your favorite beverage or treat.
Artful Soul Creative Experiences is located on the ground floor in the back of the Santa Fe Village Mall. 227 Don Gaspar Ave Santa Fe, NM 87501. If you are coming to an evening class after 5:00 PM you may park in the parking lot of the Santa Fe Village Mall. We will give you a sign to put on your dashboard indicating that you are attending an event at Artful Soul Creative Experiences. Or you may choose to park on the street or the Water Street Parking lot.
