Beginning Ceramic Wheel ThrowingAges 14+ October 7-November 116-8pm This class is dedicated to the basic skills of throwing on the wheel. It is also open to those who have some experience on the potter's wheel and would like to polish their basic skill. No experience needed. All materials are included. Students also gain access to the FAVA Ceramics Studio for the duration of the class during FAVA's open hours. Those students under 18 will need to be accompanied by adult if in the open studio outside of class hours. She is the Director of Education and Outreach and an instructor at FAVA. She completed an MFA in Ceramics from West Virginia University in 2020, as well as an BFA in Painting and Drawing from Bowling Green State University. She specializes in Ceramics, Painting and Drawing. Her 3D artwork emphasizes texture, repetition and mark making on hand-built ceramic structures. The goal is to provide both the maker and the viewer a whimsical, saturated, and tactile experience as they interact with her objects and installations. While we may not be able to provide a complete scholarship to all those who request it, we are committed to making our classes available to as many people as possible – regardless of individual financial circumstances.
