Classics : Faces Of America at 250

Join us for "Classics: Faces of America at 250," a powerful celebration of America's 250th anniversary on October 10, 2026, at 7:30 PM. The concert features a stirring lineup including patriotic favorites like "The Star-Spangled Banner," Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man," and the premiere of "Visions of Humanity," a commemorative work for America 250. Enjoy jazz-infused classics such as James P. Johnson's "Harlem Symphony" and George Gershwin's "Strike Up the Band," with Grammy-winning cellist Zuill Bailey performing alongside the Long Beach Symphony, conducted by Eckart Preu. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and a pre-concert talk begins at 6:30 PM. Tickets go on sale to the public on June 16, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
