Galt Bible Church was founded in 1956 for people who believed in the literal translation of the Bible and were looking for a church that taught the Bible, one book at a time.
The church was formed with 27 members in 1956 at the old Galt Women's Civic Clubhouse at Fifth and D streets.
The congregation moved to the present Galt Bible Church building in 1960.
