The Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority (HAPRA) enriches community life through diverse recreational activities and facilities that foster health and wellness. Serving Howell and nearby areas, HAPRA operates the Oceola Community Center, featuring indoor courts, a fitness room, and community spaces, along with the Howell Senior Center. Additionally, the Hive Youth & Teen Center offers after-school programs, artistic exploration, and life skills workshops. HAPRA also runs a preschool, organizes sports leagues, camps, and special events, including the annual Howell Melon Festival, enhancing the local community experience.
