Details:
This course is designed for someone who has little or no experience operating a motorcycle, and it focuses on the development of basic riding skills: clutch and throttle coordination, straight-line riding, braking, turning, and shifting. Training motorcycles are provided. Privately owned motorcycles are NOT permitted. Successful completion results in a certificate that waives the written knowledge test and riding-skill test, which would otherwise be administered by the Secretary of State and third-party testing agency, respectively.
Class meets Friday, 6 pm to 8 pm (M143, Lot 9); Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 am-8:00 pm (Lot 10). You need to be available during the 12-hour period, but are not expected to be on site the entire time. Group A will ride in the morning, and Group B will ride in the afternoon. You will be assigned the first night of class.
