Share your history visually by using a mix of printmaking and collage on canvas to create self-portraits! Patricia Micca, artist and owner of Painting Waves, will lead this mixed media portrait class that will explore the creative possibilities of combining different artistic materials and techniques. The class emphasizes both technical skillslike proportion, and compositionand personal expression, encouraging artists to move beyond realism and incorporate symbolism or abstraction. Through guided projects, participants develop their own unique style while gaining confidence in blending traditional and contemporary approaches to portraiture. Please register as there is a strict cap of 20 slots available! Please bring a photograph of yourself which will be used to create a print. Students will learn various printmaking techniques along with collage. Bring your creative side and an open mind!All skill levels are welcome. This is an adult activity, but will be duplicated for teens on Wednesday, July 22 - check our calendar.
